How-to: Jazzy Keys!

Are you bored of your plain old keys? Do you have tons of keys and can't ever tell them apart? Then it sounds like you need to jazz up your keys! Here is my step by step guide to making opening the door glamourous!

You will need:
  • a boring old key in need of jazzing up!
  • some blu-tac
  • base coat (I used OPI's Nail Envy)
  • your favourite colour nail varnish (I used OPI's Koala Berry)
  • *optional* glitter nail varnish (I used Miss Sporty's Sparkle Touch)

Step 1
Start by sticking your key to a blob of blu-tac and sticking the blu-tac to the floor or a level surface. Make sure the key is not touching the floor. Now apply a base coat to the top part of the key. I did this incase I ever wanted to re-paint my key a different colour. Now the key will not be stained.

Step 2
Paint the first side of the top part of your key (not the long spiky kind of bit that goes in the door for the simple reason that all the nail varnish will chip away when you put it in the door) and flip over. Paint the other side and then carefully stick the bottom of the spiky bit of the key into the blu-tac and paint around the top bit. And don't forget the inside hole! Leave to dry overnight.

Step 3
The next day your key should be completely dry. Now, paint all the same parts as you did in step 2. Remember the little hole! leave to dry overnight again.

Step 4
Now your key should be dry. Extreeeeeeeeeeemely carefully hook your key back on to your key ring and voila! Your key is jazzed up!

So that's all. Now you can say

Goodbye boring old key...

Lots of love
Abby

Exciting Benefit Weekend!:D

Hello, it's Abby, and I've had a really exciting Benefit-filled weekend!

OK, so it all started when I went to my local Boots with my mum. We were having a snoop around all the lovely make up, and my mum asked me if I wanted to get my make up done by the girl at the  Benefit counter. At first I said no because I felt a little bit embarrassed in case anybody I knew saw me, but I decided to do it anyway in the end. Who cares if anyone saw me!

So this what I looked like afterwards. The girl that did my make up was so lovely, and made me feel really welcome and happy:) She used a range of products on me, so I can't remember evvvvvverything, but I'll try me best. There was hello flawless foundation, cream eye shadow in busy signal, she filled my brows with something, but I can't remember what it was, she used a blush in sugar something, and a lovely highlighter but it wasn't high beam.

My favourite thing she used on me though was the 'they're real' mascara. Oh my god. It's amazing! It made my lashes so longer and gorgeous - it's fab!
(And at the moment, it's on an offer where you buy one and get a free travel size version worth £9.50!)

So anyway, after I had my make up done, my mum started to look at benefit products and came across the cleansers and toners and things. Now, I struggle with cleansers and things, like finding a nice one, but when the girl used this one on my face it felt great. So my mum asked about it and they had a box of the 6 step cleansing kit in a travel bag for just £10!!! How amazing? So we got it and I absolutely LOVE it. Its feels so nice on my skin and has really enhanced my skin and made it look great! Here is what I got...

This is it in the box, bag, and plastic casing.

Here is the little leaflet you get with it explaining everything you need to do.

How to use:

So first you use the Foamingly Clean cleanser (left). With this, a little goes a long way isn't even the phrase. I took a smaller than a pea size amount onto a damp face and it washed my whole face with product left to spare! What more could you ask for?
After you've used that you take the Refined Finish face exfoliator (right) which makes your skin so so so so so so soft!

Next you use the Moisture Prep toning lotion (left). This is the best smelling product in my opinion. They all pretty much smell the same, but this is just a bit stronger and feels lovely on your face.
Now you use Triple Performing face emulsion (right) which is kind of half way between a toner and a moisturiser. In all honesty I have no idea what it does, but I think it just enhances your skin.

After that you use the It's Potent eye cream (top). This is lovely and cooling on your under eyes.
Finally you use the Total Moisture moisturiser (bottom). This is very a little goes a long way and has amazing stay power. It doesn't just slip off, it really deeply moisturises your face. I put it on in the morning and at night I can still feel it on my skin!

So that was my exciting Benefit weekend! Sorry my posts are always so long:/ But thanks for reading, lots of love, Abby :) xxx

Tuxedo Nails!

Hi, its Abby, and today I'm doing a tutorial on tuxedo nails. I saw this design on cutepolish'sYouTube channel and thought I'd change it a little bit to suit me. The design was meant for all your nails, but I thought I would just have it as an accent nail instead. Also, I didn't like the thought of having all my other nails painted solid black, so I used black glitter instead. It doesn't show up that I used glitter on the camera but I promise I did!:) Hope you like it!

You will need:
A base coat
Colours of your choice (I just went for classic black and white)
A glitter polish of one of those colours *optional*
A top coat
Side note - It will be useful if the colour you use for the black bit was a striper or nail art pen.

Step 1
Use a base coat to protect your own nails.
I just used OPI Nail Envy, which did you know you can get in Boots?! Well, I didn't anyway, I was a bit gobsmacked. You can also get the Avoplex cuticle gel which is amazing!

Step 2
Paint all of your nails a glittery black colour except your ring finger, which should be painted white.
For the white I used Claire's accessories nail art pen and striper in 'white'. Its absolutely brilliant! I didn't think it was going to be as good as it is, but the nail I painted was completely opaque after 1 coat! For the glittery black I use Barry M's glitter nail paint in 'Black Multi Glitter'.

Step 3
When the white is dry, take your plain black nail varnish or striper (which is just a really thin brush that allows you to get a clean, straight line easily) and paint a V shape on your nail. Fill in the outside space with the black glitter.
I used my Claire's accessories nail art pen in 'black' and took the striper end to paint the V, then filled the space with my Barry M glitter.

Step 4
Now take your black nail varnish, and if you have a black nail art pen, use this to draw two small dots for buttons from the cornery bit of the V upwards. Then make two triangles facing eachother to create the bow. If you don't have a nail art pen then don't worry. You can still do exactly the same with a mini cocktail stick or tooth pick dipped in to black nail varnish.
Again I used my black Claire's accessories nail art pen but this time at the actual nail art pen side.

Step 5
Add a top coat to protect your design from everyday life, and that's it, you're done!
I used a top coat from one of those unbranded french manicure kits from Boots.

So that's all. Please excuse how awful I am at describing what I'm doing, but I really really wanted to blog about tuxedo nails. Cutepolish does amazing videoes that really inspire me and her nail art designs are really easy to recreate for yourself. I strongly suggest you look her up on YouTube! Anyway, thanks for reading, see you soon, love Abby xxx :)

Taylor Swift Inspired Look!

Hey Guys Its Tay!x

I've been debating whether to do this look for a while... And finally I'm getting round to doing it!

I was searching pictures of Taylor Swift and couldn't really find any looks that suited my style and wardrobe so i gathered a few pics and bits to get my perfect Taylor look! Involving Makeup,Hair and Fashion...

OUTFIT...
I chose this casual look simply because most of her pictures where glamour but that's not me so I searched casual and in a lot of pictures Taylor was wearing Jumpers,Boots,Jeans E.C.T..

Taylor has blue eyes (like me!) So i wanted to compliment her eye colour with the clothes!

Peach compliments blue very well so i chose a peach jumper, light wash jeans to contrast with  the eyes and dark brown boots i also pared a brown, coppery necklace to go with the boots!

Top-TopShop
Necklace-Boutique
Jeans-Primark
Boots-Primark

MAKEUP+HAIR...

So Abbs kindly did my makeup! I asked her to keep it simple with peachy tones, a red lip and some lashes! So she did just that! We also researched some pictures for this, and Taylor likes her red lips and lashes! (LIKE ME!) For hair I decided to do the natural tight curls Taylor always has!

Abby's July Favourites!

Hi, its Abby and today I'm posting about my July favourites. There they are all together and now I'll do individual write ups for each one to say why I love it so much this month. I thought I'd change things up today and take some shots in the garden, but its not the brightest outside because in Liverpool at the moment it hasn't stopped raining ARGHH!! But the sun did peep through a little bit for some pictures:) And please excuse my change of scenery half way through - I got attacked by ants, saw a spider and had a fit, and saw a half dead worm, so I had to move away.

My first favourite of July is my Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted Mousturiser in Natural. I love this because it gives you a gorgeous healthy glow without looking like you're caked in make up. It has a very light weight feel and light coverage, so your skin won't be flawless but it will be glowy. I like to wear this just day to day when I'm not going anywhere special.

Here it is with the lid on, and lid off.

My next favourite is a Clinique compacty thingy. It has two eyeshadows in (one shimmery, one matte) and a lovely blush. I LOVE this thing. the blush is the best I've ever come across. Its really nice and makes you look awake and healthy. I wear this pretty much everyday and I think its great. The eyeshadows are also brill. The shimmery pink one I used for daytime and if I go out at night I use the purple one on the outer corner of my eyelid and sweep it towards the middle, blending it with the shimmery pink one.

Here are all the colours swatched starting with frosted blossom, (the shimmery pink) then stone violet, (the purple matte colour) and then the blush, iced lotus. (And yes, this was where I got attacked by ants. There were so many, ewwwwwwww.)

My third favourite is a natural collection lipstick in the shade raspberry. This is my everyday lipstick and I love it! It suits my natural lip colour quite well and mousturises my lips really nicely. With this lipstick you can either apply ot normally to get the normal colour, or dab it on to get a really nice muted pinky shade.

Here it is with lid on, lid off, and on the side. Excuse the state of the bullet, I took it on holiday to Cyprus, and had a bit of a melting issue...say no more.

My next one is a Body Shop body butter in Papaya. Oh my god, this is heaven in a tub. This is I think the best body butter ever ever ever! It smells like holiday and fruit and lovliness, and really mousturises your skin too. When I came back off holiday this completely stopped my skin peeling and cooled off my sun burn really nicely. And as a bonus it has amazing stay power. The smell stays on your skin for ages after you've put it on!

Here it is.

My last favourite of this month is my Barry M glitter nail paint in Pink Iridescant. I adore this nail varnish! I love glitter and the best colour in the world is pink, so what could be better? It looks amazing over a light pink nail colour and gives off loads of glitter in one brush stroke!

Here it is. As you might be able to tell I'm wearing it now as my accent nail on my ring finger. I just have all my nails painted a pale pink with the one finger glitter. On the nail wheel I painted it without any colour underneath. I was slightly dissappointed when the glitter didn't come out as pink as I'd wanted, but you can always wear pink under it.

So that's my favourites for this month. Hope you enjoyed it and thank you for reading! I also want to say that Tay is really poorly at the moment so I hope she's feeling much better soon! Think the thought of all my neighbours watching me squatting in my garden taking photoes of a lipstick while almost crying every time I saw a bug will cheer her up:)

Lots of love, Abby xxx :)

I know right?! But I am going to end it well with some of my favourite products from his month!

Starting with, my face wash! Purity Plus+ deep pore cleansing foam facial wash! I love this thing so much, it gets rid of makeup, smells delicious and actually cleans my pores!

My next one has got to be my Benefit PoreFessional! It glides on the skin for a smoother surface and it hides pores this is a girls bestfriend!

My third product is, The Revlon LipButter in 'Berry Smoothie'
This was kindly gifted to me by abbs and I love it! The colour is perfect and it gives the lips a lovely moisture!

Nearly there! This one is the Clinque moisturizing lotion. This is heaven on earth for dry skin it refreshes and moistutizers the skin perfectly! What more can I say? I love it!

Last but not least is a different one, intact its a jewelry item. It is my Pandora!
